This program in the Third Thursday series will mark Women's History Month by celebrating the accomplishments and firsts of Bristol women over the last 200 years. Presented by BHS member Ellen Zoppo-Sassu who was the "first female" to be elected Mayor, the program is sponsored in part by a grant from the Women & Girls Fund at the Main Street Community Fund. From Silpah, a slave belonging to local farmer William Jerome, to Philena Skinner Peck and Erma Funk, Bristol has many interesting
women who made history. Doors will open at 6:30. Seating is limited to the first hundred that enter. Admission is free for BHS members and Girl Scouts/girls under 18 and their parents or guardians; a $5 donation is requested for non-members. Parking is available behind the building. Refreshments will be served.
