PIE BAKING CONTEST RULES

** All pie contestants must pre-register for the contest by June 13th.**

Open to amateur bakers only – no entry fee!

  1. Both the filling and crust must be homemade (no store-bought pies allowed!)
  2. Pies may be apple or cherry in keeping with the Revolutionary War time period. They should not require refrigeration and should not contain raw eggs.
  3. One entry allowed per family.
  4. All entries must be in pie tin with either foil or plastic covering.
  5. No identification of the baker is allowed on the container. (Each pie will be given a number that will be placed on the bottom of the tin.
  6. Recipes or list of ingredients must be included to prevent any food allergy issues for the judges.
  7. Pies must be submitted to the judging table by 1:30. Judging will take place at 2pm. Participants make pick up their pie/pie tins at the end of the contest or by 4pm.
  8. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
  9. No pies will be accepted after judging has started.
