PIE BAKING CONTEST RULES
** All pie contestants must pre-register for the contest by June 13th.**
Open to amateur bakers only – no entry fee!
- Both the filling and crust must be homemade (no store-bought pies allowed!)
- Pies may be apple or cherry in keeping with the Revolutionary War time period. They should not require refrigeration and should not contain raw eggs.
- One entry allowed per family.
- All entries must be in pie tin with either foil or plastic covering.
- No identification of the baker is allowed on the container. (Each pie will be given a number that will be placed on the bottom of the tin.
- Recipes or list of ingredients must be included to prevent any food allergy issues for the judges.
- Pies must be submitted to the judging table by 1:30. Judging will take place at 2pm. Participants make pick up their pie/pie tins at the end of the contest or by 4pm.
- Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
- No pies will be accepted after judging has started.
