After a two-year hiatus, the popular West Cemetery Lantern Tour is returning on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. The event is sponsored by the Bristol Cemetery Commission and co-sponsored by the Bristol Historical Society. For those who have not attended in previous years, during this evening guided walk through West Cemetery, you will be introduced to some notable cemetery “residents” who will share some of their history with attendees. This is an engaging way to spend an evening and learn a little Bristol history.
Tours will step off at 6:50pm, 7:10pm, 7:30pm, 7:50pm, 8:10pm, and 8:30. Limited space (8 people per tour) is also available during an earlier tour at 6pm with motorized transport on both days for those who have limited mobility or prefer a daylight option. If there is significant interest, an additional daylight slot may be added.
The rain date for both days is October 2. Suggested donation is $10.
