For a special Third Thursday, present-day guests are invited to attend a reception on January 17, at 7 pm with some of Bristol’s prominent historical citizens. Actors portraying Chauncey Jerome, Albert Rockwell, Helen Welch Atkins-McKay, and others will take over the stage and tell their stories, describing their lives, their achievements, and sometimes, the scandals that outlived them. On July 18, The Bristol Historical Society will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish of Bristol. After a short presentation of the planning and work it took to receive permission to start the parish and its beginning years, a dvd covering highlights of the 100 years will be shown.
