Bristol Historical Society Children’s Scavenger Hunt!

September 25 - October 9

As part of our 50th anniversary, the Bristol Historical Society is offering two Scavenger Hunts designed for 3rd and 4th graders, but all ages are encouraged to participate! This hunt is sponsored by the Torrington Savings Bank.

The Walking Scavenger Hunt exclusively covers the Federal Hill area, while the second DRIVING Scavenger Hunt features locations around the city.

You may download copies of the scavenger hunts and the answer sheets here:

Scavenger Hunts will also be available beginning on Friday, 9/24, until Saturday, 10/9, at the Children’s Departments of both the Bristol Public and Manross Libraries; the Bristol branch of Torrington Savings Bank, 888 Farmington Avenue; as well as the Historical Society, 98 Summer Street (Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10-2 only). In addition, you can stop by our BHS table at the Mum Festival on Saturday or Sunday, September 25 and 26. If you prefer, email scavengerhunt@bristolhistoricalsociety.org to print copies at home.

Answer sheets can be emailed to scavengerhunt@bristolhistoricalsociety.org or dropped off at the Historical Society, 98 Summer St., Bristol on Wednesdays, or Saturdays between the hours of 10am and 2pm.

All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize drawing and winners will be notified by phone no later than October 12th!

This is a great way to explore Bristol and learn about its history!
